@Teddybearcop48. I bought my fish (minnows) at a local aquarium store. I was going to get blue channel catfish from the same guy but later when my system has been established. Several fish have died in my system but only cost me .35 cents rather than $6 a pop with the catfish. You can also get fish from local hatcheries or you can check around on craigslist. You can buy tilapia online but I would only recommend it for warmer climates.

@bluefairy182 First off, its “dying”. Why is the young generation so fucking hooked on throwing an “e” in every word? Secondly…. Impose? We should impose this system on people? I think its an excellent system but to suggest we impose anything on people, i.e. to force them to do this is absolutely crazy. Freedom is more important than eating my friend. Freedom is more important than anything.

@bluefairy182 This is not a personal dig, but just my honest observation: Anyone who types in ALL CAPS is likely not playing with a full deck of cards (i.e. take their comments with a grain of salt). It’s not personal attack… I have many friends who have this trait. But I do see this a lot on internet, etc. and basically I think (my observation) is quite accurate.

How do you raise the trout without problems ……. they seem to be such a challenge to raise in an environment that is strictly aquaponics …….. would like to learn more about how you do it considering temperature, aeration, food etc. ……… thanx
